Ana Laydner holds a degree in Graphic Design from UniRitter in Porto Alegre (2011) and a postgraduate degree in Typography Design from the Universidad de Buenos Aires (2015). She began her career working in ad agencies. In 2013 she dropped advertising to study typography in Argentina. Now back in Porto Alegre, she moves between the fields of graphic design and type design.
She believes in the importance of the study of typography applied to any area of graphic design. Recently won the Tipos Latinos Award 2018 in the category New Talents with her typeface Gigio, a slab serif for text. She is also a collaborator of Harbor Type and one of the members of Coletivo Plomo71.
