Information

Patau is the typographical master of self-taught learning. He is a graphic and web designer at Can Antaviana since 1996. His catalogue is full of many and very good typefaces, the result of a long professional career. In 2003, he began to commercialize his fonts in T26, until 2011 when he created his own website: Tipo Pèpel. He is also co-founder of Unos Tipos Duros, of which he has been a member since 1999. Its work center is located in the small village of Les Borges Blanques, in the province of Lerden, far from the visual pollution of the big cities.

Looking at the past of Patau's typographic production is to take a look at the history of typography in Spain, many of his sources have cultural references that he always chooses to preserve and recover, adapting to the graphics style of the era in which they have been created. On the other hand, within his typographies without historical references, he tackles all types of styles in a very personal way. It has received several recognitions and awards, including a Laus in 2007 for its Anduaga typography and several mentions in recognized online platforms such as typographica.org (by Confetti, Farrerons Serif and Valliciergo) and MyFonts (by Boxed, Bridone, Naste, Dupla, Pobla and Cinta).
