Originally called Lullius Texture, Blanquerna's design is based on the calligraphic forms of Gothic texture. Its condensed and angular characters create a compact, dark text stain. Although his inspiration comes from the typographical forms of the Middle Ages, the set of characters includes some unconventional combinations, for example, the "ll" of two heights. We also find curious forms that play with the ambiguity between upper and lower case, such as the "h" and the "f" of the high box.
Blanquerna is a typeface that does not get complicated, its strokes lack of flourishes and ornaments. It is a typography with a direct voice with clear echoes of the past.
It includes a large character set that covers most languages using the Latin alphabet. In 2013 she was recognized by Index Book, which chose her to be included in the Selected Europe publication.
Interpretació actual de les lletres gòtiques. Basada en la construcció de la «gòtica textura» de punta ampla, de duresa en les seves formes, nirvis i cops interromputs.
