Bridone combines the design of the Egyptian typographies created by the British Vincent Figgins at the beginning of the 19th century, with features of the "didonas" that had already been developed in France and Italy since the end of the 18th century. The name of the typography itself speaks to us of this mixture of "British" and "didone" influences.

A relatively large X-height and the width of its characters make Bridone a broad body typography. Its structure accommodates thick vertical strokes that contrast with the finesse of the finishing touches and horizontal strokes.

Bridone comes in 6 styles with italics. It also includes a Bridone Titling version with as many styles. The entire family offers a varied menu of 24 fonts, perfect for a good typographic pairing.

Like other typefaces in the Tipo Pèpel catalogue, Bridone is also characterized by a wide range of characters, including small caps, ligatures, and ornamental shapes.
